Mold RemediationMold remediation is a two-step process. The first step is to identify the source of humidity or moisture that is allowing the mold to grow and/or improve ventilation to the affected areas to keep humidity levels down. The second step is to remove any microbial or mold growth present and treat the area with mold inhibiting chemicals or fungicides.
One of the main issues with mold remediation is the containment of the mold problem. Mold spores are airborne and when an area is disturbed or cleaned, theses spores are launched into the air and will start looking for other areas of moisture/humidity and low ventilation where they can grow and thrive.
During mold remediation projects, remediation companies will also do mold sampling (air sampling) in order to determine the effectiveness of the cleanup and compare these levels with outside levels.
The interactive Mold Certification Course package includes courses for Mold Remediation Certification as well as mold inspection/mold assessment.
